Obituary for Carol Marcue

Carol  Marcue
Carol Mary (Uriano) Marcue, 76, of Manchester, rode off into the eternal light on Thursday, May 11, 2017. Born on July 25, 1941 in Manchester, CT and the eldest daughter of the late Patsy Uriano and Mary Grey. She was born and raised in Manchester, CT and worked for Manchester Board of Education. Carol was an active member in her church, enjoyed gardening, baking with her grandchildren, avid reader, spending time with family and watching the UConn women’s basketball team with her late husband Peter J. Marcue. She was a devoted and caring mother, wife, sister and grandmother and will be missed by many. Carol is survived by her siblings Patricia DesRoches, Joanne Uriano and Daniel Uriano; children Deborah A. Marcue, Sherri Boucher; Peter J Marcue III, Susan Stratton, Donna Woodis, Trisha Maxwell; grandchildren Danielle Marcue, Peter J Marcue IV, Raymond Boucher, Sheila Stratton, Stephanie Jakobowski, Selina Stratton; great-grandchildren Banner, Jordan, Riley, Jakob, and Odin. Family and friends may gather with us for a celebration of life on Monday, May 15th from 4-7pm with a service to follow at 7 p.m. at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center Street Manchester, CT. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Veterans of Foreign Wars at 608 E Center St Manchester, CT.
