Obituary for Judith "Judi" Buchanan (Blancato)
Judith “Judi” (Blancato) Buchanan, 73, beloved mother and grandmother, died on Monday, May 15, 2017 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Judi was born in Bristol, CT to Louis and Concetta “Connie” (Sepa) Blancato and lived in Florida, California, and East Hartford, CT before moving to Manchester where she lived for the last 46 years. Judi was an avid reader and enjoyed going to the beach. Most of all, she is remembered for the abundance of love that she had for her family, which meant everything to her.
Judi is survived by her daughter, Cara M. Westfall, and her husband Louis, of South Windsor; her grandchildren Madeline “Maddie” and Evan; her Aunt Adeline “Dolly" Lewis; and several special cousins, close friends, and neighbors. She was predeceased by her husband, Scott T. Buchanan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Judi at the Church of the Assumption, 29 South Adams St. Manchester, on Saturday May 20 at 12:00 pm. Family and friends may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center St. Manchester, Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. For online condolences please visit www.tierneyfuneralhome.com
