Lucille Margaret "Tootsie"  Maneggia
Lucille Margaret “Tootsie” Maneggia, 92 of Manchester, beloved wife of 59 years to George A. Maneggia, entered her heavenly home on Tuesday, (January 9, 2018) at home surrounded by her family. She was born on May 29, 1925 to Ida (Ponticelli) Wilson-Ottone and Harold Wilson. She was raised by her second father, Libero Ottone. She grew up in Glastonbury and Manchester, and lived in Bolton for 59 years. She lived the past 8 years with her daughters in Manchester. Margaret enjoyed a long career that began at Trant Plumbing Company. She took time off to raise her family before joining the M+M Oil Company where she worked from 1969-2017. Margaret was an active and long time communicant at St. Maurice Church for 59 years including serving as a Eucharistic Minister. Since 2009, Margaret was a beloved communicant at Sacred Heart Church in Vernon. Throughout her life she was involved with civic, school, community, and faith-based activities and groups, always helping and supporting in any way she could. She was a charter member of the Bolton Regional Lions Club and serviced as Club Chaplain. In her later years, she enjoyed activities and trips with the Senior Centers in Bolton and Manchester, and she never turned down a trip to play bingo or visit the casinos. Margaret had a deep, kind and unconditional love for family, friends, and even strangers that knew no boundaries. Her prayers, presence, support, generosity, enthusiasm and uplifting spirit were gifts to everyone that knew her. She had a beautiful smile and infectious laugh to share with everyone.

She always enjoyed a gathering with music, dance, good food, and a room full of family and friends. Margaret’s whole life revolved around faith and family. If you knew her, you were family.

She leaves her loving children, Sharon Woodward and her husband David, Patricia Maneggia and her wife Yolanda Jenkins; grandchildren, Christine St. Laurent and her husband Tommy, Karen Drudi and her husband Travis, Shawnjua Kelley, Danfort Griffiths, Shylise Jones and husband Christopher; great-grandchildren, Ayanna, Caiden, Brodie, Naomi, Vince, Mason, Evelyn, Jack, and Finnegan. She also leaves brother-in-law Edward Bachl and sister-in-law Helen Harrington, and host of beloved extended family members and devoted friends. She was predeceased by her husband George A. Maneggia and her sister Joyce Ottone Bachl The family extends their deep appreciation for the care, love, and respect shown to Margaret by Masonicare, Care for Me at Home, VNA, Laura Dunfield, Donna Remesch, and her M+M family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 13, 2018, at 10am at St. Maurice Church, 32 Hebron Road, Bolton. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Manchester. Family and friends may call on Friday, January 12, 2018, at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center Street, Manchester, from 3-5pm and 6-8pm. Memorial donations may be made either to St. Maurice Church, 32 Hebron Rd, Bolton, CT 06043, or to the Bolton Regional Lions Club in c/o Sharon Woodward, 174 Vernon St. Manchester, CT 06042.
